Rocking the house

For many student-athletes, the success they’re most proud of often includes championships, awards or trophies they’ve won on the field, track or rink. But for third-year U of A Golden Bear curler and junior world champion Brendan Bottcher, it’s the achievements in the classroom that make him proudest.

    An athlete for all seasons

It can be an overwhelming task, but it’s a challenge that Christina Donnelly faces head-on. Not only does she play on the UBC women’s soccer team — she also competes on the alpine skiing team, making her the one of few athletes at UBC who plays two varsity sports.

    Bouldering gains popularity in B.C.

    Villarosa and Nguyen got into bouldering after a mutual friend who was into climbing told them about the thrill of bouldering. The pair frequent the Hive Indoor Climbing Gym, which is the only bouldering gym in Vancouver. The Hive was started last March and is already at its 2,000 member limit.
